About Haley

Haley Farrar

I am a therapist offering online support to individuals in Wellington and across New Zealand online who are seeking to navigate challenging circumstances and cultivate meaningful personal growth. I approach my work with sincerity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person's unique journey.

My path to psychotherapy has been somewhat unique. Originally from the United States, I moved to Wellington in 2015 as a Fulbright Fellow. While I am licensed as a lawyer, my professional focus shifted in 2013 towards restorative justice. This background in understanding harm, repair, and fostering constructive dialogue has deeply informed my therapeutic perspective. I've witnessed firsthand how individuals, when given the right support, can navigate complex situations and find their own path forward.

Inspired by the individual growth I see through my restorative work, I am currently deepening my practice through advanced training in long-term psychotherapy with the Australia and New Zealand Association of Psychotherapy (ANZAP). This training allows me to offer long-term psychotherapy for those who desire to delve deeper into their emotional landscape, heal past experiences, and foster lasting change.

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I strive to create a supportive and non-judgmental environment where you can gain clarity, understanding, and peace in your life. I bring sincerity and warmth to my work, and I am honored to witness the courage it takes to embark on a journey of self-discovery. Whether you are facing a specific challenge or seeking to understand yourself on a deeper level, I offer a supportive and confidential space to explore your thoughts and feelings. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to facilitate clarity, understanding, and a greater sense of peace in your life.
